Orpheus is Where Music Builds Community—and Changes Lives

Dear Friends,
I’ve now been with the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix for a year and a half, and I continue to be amazed by how powerfully music brings people together: creating joy, connection, and even healing.
This past month, we sang at HonorHealth’s Desert Mission Adult Day Care Center for individuals living with dementia and Parkinson’s. We welcomed each person by name, honored veterans during Salute to the Armed Forces, and closed in a shared singalong. In that hour, music created connections where words often can’t.
That same spirit carries into everything we do. Each year, our concert season brings joy and community to thousands of patrons across the Valley. And within our chorus itself, we’re building something just as meaningful; this past semester alone, our singers ranged in age from 19 to 82, spanning five generations and representing a wide range of backgrounds, races, beliefs, and perspectives. It’s one of the most diverse and inspiring communities I experience anywhere.
Beyond the stage, we bring music to shelters, veterans, and seniors, and provide scholarships for young singers and music students, reaching people at every stage of life.
I’m inviting you to join me in our 10-20-30 campaign:
👉 Give $20 or $50 or even (gasp!) $100 in the next 30 days
Your gift helps us continue this work, bringing music to those who need it most and creating spaces where men and boys can express themselves, connect, and grow. I’ve seen that impact firsthand in my own son, Dylan, and in every singer on our stage.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
With gratitude,
Mitra
