Orpheus is Where Music Builds Community—and Changes Lives
When my father joined Orpheus in 1969, I was a freshman in high school. At that age, everything the folks did was immediately suspect.
But I was already hooked on choral singing and went to some of the concerts. The "One Hundred Men with a Song" really sang and did it beautifully.
Orpheus has been bringing people together through music for nearly a century and today, our work goes far beyond the stage. We mentor young singers, bring music to veterans and seniors, and share the healing power of song with those facing memory loss.
At last week's concert, my elderly mother was awake and engaged for the entire concert. It was the power of the human voice expressed through music.
To keep this work going, we’re raising $50,000, and I’ve created this page to do my part.
